"The Rosary is the most excellent form of prayer and the most efficacious means of attaining eternal life. It is the remedy for all our evils."
— Pope Leo XIII, Supremi Apostolatus Officio, 1883
Begin Praying ↓The Rosary is a meditative prayer in which we contemplate the mysteries of the life of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary while reciting vocal prayers. It unites Scripture, meditation, and intercession in a single devotion.
The full Rosary consists of twenty mysteries divided into four sets, each assigned to certain days of the week by tradition. Each decade begins with the announcement of a mystery, followed by the Our Father, ten Hail Marys, the Glory Be, and the Fátima Prayer.
The Luminous Mysteries were added by Pope St. John Paul II in his apostolic letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae (2002).
Select a set of mysteries, then step through each prayer and bead at your own pace.
